Daily morning tasks

This resource includes six weeks worth of fun morning activities for your class. You can display this on your screen each morning as the children are entering the classroom and they can read and complete the activity. No scrambling around in the morning trying to find an activity for the children. No printing required. The children can answer in whichever way they like, post its, scrap paper, using the ipad to record. However best works in your classroom. Some examples include: Motivational Monday Tasty Tuesday Workout Wednesday Thankful Thursday Friendship Friday The great thing is there is enough for a different activity to be used each day for 6 weeks and then they could be re-used as the children will have different outcomes. Therefore this could make mornings easy for the whole school year.

Do we all sense light and sound the same?

This resource contains a set of 3 lessons that could be used within a unit of light and sound. They are based on the scientific question - Do we all sense light and sound the same? It allows children to think about whether everyone can see and hear the same. Leading onto discussions about being blind or deaf and what that means. The last lesson is a practical lesson where they will put themselves into someone else’s shoes and experience what it would be like to be blind or deaf. This has a good cross curricular link to PSHE. Understanding others feelings and that we are all different. I did use 2 additional video’s when teaching this lesson which can be found on youtube via the links below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFTrb3ECVrw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_EmsguJMic
